Christina’s passion for telling stories was hidden deep in her soul until one summer’s day in June of 2015. Although, the need to have a freshly sharpened pencil or a fine point ink pen with her at all times was there at a very young age. No matter which direction the pendulum of life swung, she wrote it down in journals, on notebook pages, even on the tithe envelopes in the back of the church pews. It came as quite a surprise and yet it felt like the passion to write had always been there. All the moments that added up to years of Christina’s life spent studying the fascinating wordplay of Nora Ephron, and the beautiful worlds created and shared by novelists not to mention the lessons learned by her favorite nonfiction authors started to make sense.
After opening Beauty From Pain Tattoo Studio with her husband Caleb Lyons, she began to dream of doing more than just showing images of the tattoos the artist in the studio created. She wanted to tell the stories.
There are deep, meaningful reasons behind why people choose to alter their bodies permanently. Christina is looking forward to bringing this part of the tattoo industry to life by sharing the stories of some of our clientele.
Christina is working on her first memoir, writing at www.christinalyons.net, homeschooling her three children and the studio’s bookkeeper. When you are ready to read more of her tattoo story, click here.
